Terri
Thompson answers these questions through the Single Sex Schooling
review that CCKM undertook for the CESC-SSHRC Education
Research Initiative.
Terri is a teacher in Powell River, British Columbia and a
graduate student in sociology of education in the UBC's
Department of Educational Studies. Terri's feminist studies
and interest in critical analysis and education policy
attracted her to the Single Sex Schooling review. "I learned
so much," says Terri. "I learned to use tools to organize
and conduct a systematic review, improve my understanding of
research methodology and statistics, and how to
present information to busy policy-makers that would help
them arrive at a decision
about an important and contentious policy issue."
